Chester has the River Dee meandering through it, where walking/boating/sitting by the river is a relaxing way to spend your visit.

The city is also a great place to shop – not only does it have many of the leading department stores, but it is also famous for its many local shops.

Shopping in Chester is fun and interesting as you walk on the cobbled streets and past the many historic buildings, one of which is the very impressive cathedral. Our hotel is near a part of the famous Roman wall.

Directions

Walking from the station – go straight ahead out of the station onto City Road. Then, go along the subway and onto Foregate Street. Once at the cross, turn right onto Foregate Street and walk for 300 metres, go through the city walls and we are on the right.

From the bus station, head towards Northgate Street and turn left on this street – we are 200 metres on the right, through the walls.
