There really is something for everyone in Bridgend, from the beautiful shoreline around Porthcawl for surfing or lazy beach days to the many historic sites such as Coity, Ogmore Castle or Newcastle which offers great views of the town. 

Nature-lovers have a choice of nature reserves to explore, such as Craig y Parcau Local Nature Reserve – the perfect day out for walkers in search of fresh air and beautiful scenery.

There are beautiful beaches just a few miles away, such as at Ogmore-by-Sea and Porthcawl.

Enjoy arts activities and events at Carnegie House. At the Rhiw Shopping Centre and Bridgend Shopping Centre, you will find familiar high-street names, as well as independent shops. At the indoor market, you can browse long-established family businesses and new traders.

Local transport

Trains run every 20 minutes to Cardiff and Bridgend, and buses run every 30 minutes.

Parking

As Bridgend town is pedestrianised, access to the hotel’s car drop-off/pick-up is restricted during 10am–6pm.

The nearest car park is only a short walk across the footbridge (postcode: CF31 4JA).

Directions

Cardiff and Swansea are easily accessible by public transport and by road.

We are only a five-minute walk from the train station and bus station, both of which have regular direct transport to both cities.

We are situated only a short drive from the M4 – Cardiff and Swansea are within a 30-minute drive of the hotel.

We are ideally situated in the town centre; however, this does mean that we have no on-site car-parking facilities.
