We have added two new offerings to our craft beer collection to tickle your taste buds.
Wetherspoon has been at the forefront of the craft revolution, first bringing American import beer to you almost five years ago.
US brewers Sixpoint Brewing Company helped to spearhead our craft coup, with the launch, here in the UK, of a trio of its canned beers.
We have teamed up with our friends at Sixpoint, once again, to bring you Lo-Res (5.0% ABV) – in cans, at the bar.
The overall winner at our beer festival judging event, earlier this year, and a clear festival winner with you, the customers, Lo-Res is now permanently available, through popular demand.
Sixpoint’s Keir Hamilton travelled from New York to Adnams Brewery to produce the festival-edition ale, for the limited festival period.
However, Lo-Res can now be enjoyed in cans at your local Wetherspoon.
Mandarina Bavaria hops provide an initial citrus blast, inviting aroma and juicy flavour, with plenty of tropical notes.
This light golden beer has an easy-drinking character and a clean, dry finish.
Innis & Gunn Lager (4.6% ABV) is available in our Scottish pubs – with the Perthshire-based brewery’s beers hugely popular, both north and south of the border.
The second NEW brew, now available in cans, is Innis & Gunn Mango IPA (5.6% ABV) and, as its name might suggest, it is a fruity little number!
Innis & Gunn has taken the fruitiest hops it could find (Hercules, Citra and Simcoe) and added a mountain of mangoes.
It is a rich gold beer, with a light, fresh taste, tropical fruit flavours and a silky-smooth finish, with lingering hoppy bitterness.
Catch those ‘mangoes on the run’ at your local Wetherspoon.
These two new brews join our ever-popular craft beer collection, including our terrific trio of draught craft beers: Hop House 13 Lager (5.0% ABV), BrewDog Punk IPA (5.4% ABV) and Shipyard American Pale Ale (4.5% ABV).
Hop House 13 is a premium crafted lager from Guinness, named after an early 1900s hop store building at St James’ Gate and brewed in the Open Gate Brewery at the site in Dublin, Ireland.
It is double hopped, with hops added twice to the brewing process, delivering a crisp and full-flavoured lager, with subtle, malty notes and fresh hop aromas.
The best of malted Irish barley is combined with American and Australian hops, as well as Guinness yeast, to produce a refreshing lager, created by Guinness brewer Peter Simpson.
One of our longest-serving craft beers, BrewDog Punk IPA, was the beer which kick-started the Scottish brewery’s revolution. Available by the bottle at our pubs since October 2014, it is also available on draught.
BrewDog’s flagship India pale ale is full on flavour and layered with new-world hops, to create an explosion of tropical fruit, including pineapple, lychee and grapefruit, before a spiky bitter finish.
Shipyard American Pale Ale – a collaboration with Marston’s – is true to its name, using a blend of four fruity American hop varieties (Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbus), while the English malted barley in the brew gives it a refreshing balance.
Try a canned new brew or enjoy craft on draught here at Wetherspoon.
