Dig out your kaftans and flares, the prawn cocktail has arrived in time for the seasonal festivities at Wetherspoon.
With our unquenchable appetite for nostalgic food and retro dishes, the humble prawn cocktail is enjoying somewhat of a renaissance… and you can enjoy that taste of yesteryear at Wetherspoon.
Our king prawns in a classic prawn cocktail sauce, with a splash of Prosecco in the mix, are served with midi Cos leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, lemon and, of course, bread and butter.
The ever-popular fish dish can be ordered as a small-plate starter or as part of our 3-for-£10 offer.*
Other small plates this festive season include pigs-in-blankets (seven mini pork sausages, wrapped in bacon and served with sweet cranberry sauce) and soup of the day.
You can enjoy the traditional prawn cocktail as a deli dish too, in our king prawn avocado wrap, with salad mix and sliced avocado.

Among the main dishes this Christmas are stuffed turkey breast, mushroom risotto and a choice of festive burgers, including Brie & bacon burger, chicken & stuffing burger and Brie & cranberry vegetable burger.
The Brie & bacon burger is a 6oz beef patty, sliced Brie, maple-cured bacon and cranberry sauce, topped with two pigs-in-blankets – served with chips.
The chicken & stuffing burger is grilled chicken breast, maple-cured bacon, a pork, apricot & cranberry stuffing and cranberry sauce, topped with two pigs-in-blankets – served with chips.
Our mushroom risotto (which is under 500 Calories, gluten free and less than five per cent fat) is risotto rice in a creamy mushroom sauce, with a mix of roasted chestnut, oyster, shiitake and porcini mushrooms, with a dash of Prosecco and rocket. For non-vegetarians, it can also be served with pulled chicken.
The Brie & cranberry veg burger is a vegetable burger, topped with sliced Brie and served with cranberry sauce, chips and six onion rings.
There is always room for dessert, especially at Christmas – and we have four great festive options to tempt that sweet tooth.
